I'm very proud and happy to say that Chester and Donkey the blog is 100 posts old! I started blogging mid-May and have had so much fun. Parties, awards, friends, and tons of inspiration - this has definitely been one of the most rewarding things I've done.
Now, I know what you're thinking ... I promised a Giveaway for my 100th post and don't worry, it's coming! I decided over the weekend that I'd put together a Fall Package, which is going to take a little bit of time. You wouldn't want me to cut any corners on this, would you? Stay tuned this week for the details!
I'd like to continue the celebrating with a recap of a few of my favorite posts.
One of my favorite spaces in our home is the dining room ... purely because of the awesome dining room set I found at Salvation Army. I love it oh-so-much for a lot of reasons, but it will always be my favorite piece of furniture because of how I got it. Mr. CandD surprised me with it the day after I saw it by setting it up in my apartment while I was at work!
The decor has since changed, but this was one of my favorite pictures from the post. It's chock full of family heirlooms and other antiques.
You might remember this post ... about my first experience with chalkboard paint. I've since perfected the art and am still addicted to it. (Come back later this week to see pictures of what I did yesterday with it!) I've also repaired my mistakes on this one and am considering repainting it with some new Krylon I picked up yesterday!
I dabbled in thrifting and antique hunting before I started blogging, but have no doubt perfected that art, as well. It's exciting for me ... I've found some outstanding things for outstanding prices.
If you look back at this post, you'll see I found quite a few great items at various thrift stores, as usual. I decided I liked the whole process so much that I started up a shop at Etsy. These are two items that have sold so far! These trays and tins are definitely popular.
If you're currently a Chester and Donkey follower ... thank you very much - you really make my day! If you read my blog often, thank you very much - it means a lot to me! You guys keep me going and challenge me to make the most of blogging ... to be more creative, to get better with each project, to let "me" shine through.
Again, I promise with a capital P that my Giveaway is coming. I've simply given you more time to help me spread the word. I can't wait to get started on YOUR prize! I know we are all excited about Fall, right? Hope you all had a great weekend ... swing by tomorrow for Two Post Tuesday!
Congrats!!!!
