I'm joining in on the fun ... its a Cloche Party at A Stroll Through Life! I've already seen some sneak peaks, and I'm a little out of my league but I just had to share what I've got. If you're looking for some inspiration you definitely need to check out every entry!
This cloche didn't start out as a cloche at all. I was lucky enough to come across this clock at Goodwill ... not my style, but I new I could make it mine!
After a little TLC, I turned this outdated clock into an Anthro-esque cloche.
It's small, so I actually leave it empty ... I still think there's just something about it!
Hope you enjoyed what I have to share ... hopefully someday my collection can be like some of the other partiers! Don't forget to check them out - you will not be disappointed.
I have a clock like that. My father bought it when he was in the Air Force for my grandmother. I think it must have been a fairly popular item for service men back then. It does make a lovely cloche and I like the white bottom.
ReplyDeleteYour owl looks so cute under your "new" cloche!
ReplyDeleteJennifer, I do so love the way you changed the clock into the cloche. That is darling honey. Please stop by and see my collection. You might just find an inspiration for that cheese dome. I finally put a couple of things together for mine. Look forward to hearing from you. Country hugs, Sherry
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your GW finds. They are just wonderful. I am so like you, I just love the shapes of all the pretty glass domes, they always intrigue me. I love them empty too, they are so fascinating. Thanks so much for joining the party, I really appreciate it and this is such fun. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteThat little owl is precious!! :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I remember when it seemed like everyone had those clocks.
ReplyDeleteO, I remember your clock transformation...still love the color of that owl!
ReplyDeleteyou obviously love that blue color with the owl and everything. I hope you find just the perfect thing to put in it.
ReplyDeleteMy mom has a clock almost like yours that I have been eyeing for the longest time...one of these days, she'll finally break down and pass it down to me...heehee...!
ReplyDeleteYour cloche display is just fantastic! I love the owl.
ReplyDeleteMy parents had a clock like this, too. I had no idea that this was a cloche! I learn something new everyday... The little empty cloche is filled...with good thoughs and creative ideas.
ReplyDelete(Would you believe I also had a "horse" which looked just like "Donkey"?)
Have a wonderful weekend.
