On the back burner

It's Tuesday so you know what that means! I've got two posts to write today, so I thought I'd show you a little of what's on my mind.

I'll start by telling you a little more about myself. I'm scatterbrained, indecisive and a big daydreamer. I get really excited about stuff ... simple stuff, big stuff - I'm just an excitable gal. I'm really easily distracted too. I might have a project in mind, but as soon as I see something else I forget about the old project! At least I know I'll never run out of blog posts.

I've got a few projects that I've put on the back burner that I'd like to revisit. I'm off work tomorrow, so it's my goal to hang my stamps that I framed. You can see two of the frames spray painted here. I've got a few more ideas for this whole set up, but I'm at least going to hang what I've got in hopes that will motivate me to truly finish the project!

When I finish that ... here's what I'm going to do next! I showed you some pictures of doilies my grandma and great aunt made that now belong to me. I would love to frame them and here's a few pictures that have been my inspiration.

I love these and I can't wait to do some of my own! Hope you enjoyed my ramblings. Do you have any of the same quirks that I do? If not, just pretend and say you do so I feel better! What projects have you put on the back burner that you're itching to get back to? I have a big list ... but again, at least we all know this blog ain't going nowhere!!

Please stop by later this evening ... I've got some pictures for you. Happy Tuesday!

  1. Yep, I enjoyed your ramblings...because it sounds like me!! I am also super excitable.
I think that is a very good thing (how Martha Stewart was that????) Life is too short to be boring, don't you think? Don't change!

  2. Ohhh yessssss BIG TIME. And the blogging world hasn't helped that much! After seeing Kate and Rhoda's finished stairways, I want to rush to the store, get some stain and redo ours! Hubby would certainly DIE though. We're going out of town to the beach for a week, leave Saturday and I need to be grocery shopping NOT thrift/project shopping!
    LOVE the framed doilies though!

  3. Thanks for sharing those doily pics. I have one and on it's own it's a bit too country for my place. Framed it would be perfect!

  4. I love the idea of framing the doilies. I'm a big fan of mixing vintage & modern design styles! Ummmm, yes I am very easily distracted & it gets me in trouble when I bring a new pile of thrift store treasures home while I still have a pile at home to makeover!

  5. Thank you for sharing your inspirational photos. That's a great idea! Not sure my dh would like it if I hung up something like that though.
