Exciting news!

I have two fun things to post about today! First of all, this morning I linked up one of my latest chalkboard projects to Gina's Transformation Thursday party at The Shabby Chic Cottage. Check out what she and other bloggers have been transforming this week!

Next ... and this made my heart happy ... I received an email from the Research team at replacements.com about the china I found at Goodwill last weekend! I'm normally pretty good at researching china, but only one piece of was stamped and it only said USA. Not much to go on!

Here's a picture of the sugar bowl I got that I forgot to post earlier!

I now know a little more about these pieces! This is my whole collection as of right now. The cup and two saucers were my great grandma's so I knew this pattern was old.

Turns out ... this is the Mildred pattern by Mount Clemens Pottery. You can find a little more about it and see some other pieces here. This pattern was discontinued in the 30's and is a very sought after pattern. My heart is all a flutter!

I love my treasures that were passed down to me and hopefully this weekend (I'm counting on you both, Mom and Aunt Nancy!) I'll have a few more pieces of this pattern!

Thank God for the Internet, right? See you tomorrow ... I have a couple more chalkboard projects to show you!

  1. That's awesome. Replacements is one of those places I am so glad exists. It's just nice to know that there is a "research department" for china.
